We are residents of Moss Side who want to live in a clean area. As well as us, there are so many wonderful schools, community organisations and local businesses that operate here that deserve to be in a clean neighbourhood too.
WHAT DO MOSS SIDE ECO SQUAD DO
We hold regular group litter picking events in different areas of Moss Side. It’s a great opportunity to get outdoors and meet other residents with the added bonus of contributing to cleaning our streets.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
You can join the whatsapp group, join our email list, call, text or check our website or social media channels for updates.
We regularly have newcomers joining us to volunteer and children are always welcome to come along if supervised.
When volunteering with us there’s no obligation to attend every session, you’re welcome to drop in and out as you wish.

WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
Being able to walk down the street and not see any litter is a great sight and also beneficial for the value of our neighbourhood. Reduced litter on the street means a reduction in rats and other vermin, a reduction in blocked drains that the rubbish ends up in and maintaining general hygiene, which is now more important than ever.
Moss Side unfairly receives a lot of negative press and we, along with many other amazing residents and local groups, want to play a part in changing that narrative.
There are many inspirational and wonderful people in this community and we believe that the living standards of Moss Side should rise up to truly represent this.
