On Wednesday 9th February, student volunteers from The University of Manchester will be joining MCC Moss Side Neighbourhood Officers and local residents for a big volunteering session. Big Volunteer Day is one of the activities on offer for students to celebrate Student Volunteering Week, a national campaign to promote student volunteering.
We’ll be based at the junction of Ossory Street and Great Southern Street, where there will be a variety of different tasks to get stuck into. As a team we will be improving the space for local residents, wildlife and for everyone passing by!
Please join us anytime 10am-3pm on Wednesday for a cup of tea, or to get stuck in with some of the activities! If you’d like more information, or have a project that would benefit from student volunteers, please get in touch by email – ku.ca.retsehcnam@sreetnulov.

We can help your community organisation, charity or not-for-profit organisation by advertising for volunteers, and developing and supporting one-off volunteering events and projects known as Volunteer Days and Volunteer Projects. See our leaflet 'Working with student volunteers: PDF link below.
For students: Volunteering is a great way to enhance your University experience. You can make new friends, become part of the local community and develop new skills which will look great on your CV.
