Learn to ride with experienced cycling instructors. Enjoy social ride around the park and quiet roads. Gain confidence on busy roads. Get help to fix or maintain your bike, or donate a bike. Make friends and have fun.
Where? Alexandra Park, Moss Side. Meet in the carpark behind tennis courts, off Russell Street.
When? Morning session 9.30-11.30am. Afternoon session 12-2pm
Who? Open to all. Women Only groups available. Children can attend with their carers but must be supervised at all times.
We can run tailored sessions for specific groups or age ranges, e.g home educators, child-minders, local community groups, women's groups.
No booking needed. You can just turn up at start of either session. Contact us to enquire further. Suitable bikes and helmets are supplied on request.
These sessions are supported by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM)
Weekend or Evening Sessions
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) offer Learn to Ride and Road Rider Ready cycle training on other days and times of the week. Dates and booking for their group sessions can be found via TfGM website or Eventbrite. You can also enquire about a one to one session with an instructor if you are looking to advance your skills and confidence on the roads.

The Bike Hive is a community bike project run by volunteers, based in Alexandra Park. We support a growing number of people from across the local area to ride, recycle, build, repair and have fun with bikes.
We provide the equipment, resources and qualified cycle instructors and mechanics. We have a voluntary committee of dedicated local people who oversee the project and act as guardians of the group's mission and finances. Anyone can become a member of the group and there is no cost.
