An event to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the opening of the Shakespearean Garden in Platt Fields.
2-5pm FREE afternoon entertainment!
Opening by the Lord Mayor
Home-made produce, plants, pocket-money stalls and more
Live acoustic music and children's storyteller
Nature & Craft activities, prize draw
Tombola, refreshments
6-8.30pm - "A Rosa by Any Other Name"
A promenade performance of extracts and sonnets from the works of Shakespeare.
(6pm 1st showing, 7.30pm second showing)
We need volunteers to help with the event on the day, and any plant donations or donations for a raffle would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to help with the event please get in touch or come and see us in the garden on Thursday mornings, 10-1pm.

There are weekly gardening projects in the Shakespearean garden and Platt Hall garden, and larger monthly projects across Platt Fields. If you enjoy doing practical things outside, join us.
